How to Remove the Revial Assistant from a Meeting

How to stop the Revial transcription bot and remove it from your meeting in Microsoft Teams or Google Meet.

The Issue

The Revial Assistant may join your meeting automatically based on your calendar integration settings. If the bot joins a meeting where you don't want it — for example, a recruitment interview or a confidential discussion — you can remove it manually.

Option 1: Stop Recording in Revial

The easiest way to remove the bot is to stop the recording from the meeting page in Revial:

  1. Open the meeting in the Revial app
  2. Click the "Stop recording" button
  3. The bot will leave the meeting immediately

Option 2: Remove the Bot from Microsoft Teams

You can also remove the bot directly from the Teams meeting:

  1. Open the participant list in your Teams meeting
  2. Find "Revial Assistant" in the list
  3. Remove the participant from the meeting

For detailed steps, see Microsoft's guide on removing a person from a meeting.

Option 3: Remove the Bot from Google Meet

If you're using Google Meet, you can remove the bot from the meeting:

  1. Click on the people icon to open the participant list
  2. Find "Revial Assistant" in the list
  3. Click the three-dot menu next to the bot's name and select Remove

For detailed steps, see Google's guide on removing participants from a meeting.

How to Prevent the Bot from Joining Certain Meetings

If you want to prevent the Revial Assistant from joining specific meetings in the future, you can configure this in your calendar integration settings within the Revial app. You can set the bot to only join meetings that match certain criteria, or disable automatic joining altogether.
